So this thread will be a complete Pic Parade loaded with ALL information and equipment so far with the Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT 5.56 16” kit build on an Enhanced custom PSA dedicated lower (for now).
I will constantly update and add a few more items along the way and once we get this baby running we will try multiple optics day and night suppressed and not suppressed, hunts and targeting solutions as time allows.
Feel free to drop your builds too! So far I am enjoying this platform, lets see where this goes.

Here she is without Arca Swiss mount and Taper for Muzzle break suppressor host soon!
It all started with the extra PSA enhanced lower which had the Sig M400 upper on it but now it is dedicated to a Di SBR Sig Lower for many other DI uppers and calibers etc, so here we are and then I purchased the kit above rollin the dice that all would lock up well as the lower was mated with a classic reliable Sig M400 before 16” ol school A frame M4 irons platform. Anyway the box showed up and I went to town. 😎🤑🇺🇸
I added below:
1) Added Juliet3-Micro Magnifier FDE (also got the black one for Ruger LC 10mm carbine), I added the tall riser included in the Juliet kit, as well as the high riser on the Romeo 4XT Pro perfect match for each other AND game changer for my Astigmatism having the diopter adjustment on the magnifier! 🤓😎 60” lbs torque on both.
2) FDE Magpul MBUS 3 front and rear flip up iron sites to operate as backup solution with co-witness thru optics with the flip to the side Juliet magnifier. The Mbus 3 newer sites have a sleak lower form factor when closed to hide under all optics utilized.
3) Magpul sling Coyote color MS1 single point sling with added 2 QDM sling swivels with the newer style side button releases Looped through sling work great.
4) Added some small pic rails for the white light or future IR light setup, and for the magpul black bipod with QD pic rail release to drop weight quickly (always my approach when building if possible no tools needed) and I love LaRue QD mounts too, American Defense too.
5) White light press rail button solution Olight Odin Mini in black with lock and quick detach Mlok and pic rail systems, lock up tail cap to rail button activation switch with wire rail keepers too keep cables tight to hand guard. Excellent future host for Surefire IR / white light and Dbal 3 IR illum, IR laser, green laser.
6) Added Arisaka Zero retention clamp to hand guard inside close to barrel nut for support for gizmos and add ons. When you start removing your hand guard make sure only remove screws on the back aka rear and sides of hand guard NOT the bottom screws as those hold the take down pin bracket. 20” lbs torque on screws.
7) Added Magpul SL-K folding and telescoping stock with durable beefy low profile tube which is much longer length of pull vs the original stock (I am 6’2” tall long arms) works much smoother for adjustment and better ergo suited with chest rig plate carrier etc. I added QD sling mount mlok to the right side of stock for my sling. I also put another QD mount on the front left of the hand guard right under the Arisaka mounting screws.
8) Added some ol school cheese grater FDE ladder rail covers on top pic rail, I also use them for visual cue‘s and for optics markers.
9) Anker battery backup solution with mlok connection and wire for thermal and night vision not in rifle pic yet above. Also use Hogster Illuminator light for 200 yards plus NV work. See Below link to many products.

10) Lancer translucent FDE 30 rd metal feed lips mags. And Magpul D60 60 rd drum. And Xproducts X-15-S 50 rd metal skeleton cut drum.
11) Cole-Tac suppressor cover FDE and suppressor 5.56/.223 caliber with Break threaded 1/2x28 for suppressor connection (waiting on Sig Taper cap for barrel shipped from Osage County Guns last one) before I lock down muzzle. Fyi - I also found Kak taper mount from Midway USA and 2 taper mounts for 5.56 and .30 cal from Griffin Armament also on the way for later uses.
LOOK HERE* 😎Removing Sig original flash hider* WOW pain in the rear for most folks, BUT I had it off in 5-10 mins no kidding, here is your solution:
Put muzzle in hot boiling pot 5 mins, or use small heating torch and just heat up the front and sides of the muzzle where the threads are not so much by the end or barrel side. There is NO Rocksett! The threads are clean as a whistle but Sig torqued these baby‘s to the grave! No problem after you heat up end fairly quickly you then need preferably a Wheeler barrel block for vise and Milwaukee 3/4” impact socket and battery impact tool 1/2” or 3/8” I used 1/2” with 3/8” adaptor to 3/4” impact socket AND whaa laa off in seconds! I used my right arm as support hand on weapon upper while barrel in vise and left hand on torque tool easy break and ALL clean and good, I didnt even break a sweat! Hopefully this helps others see pic parade next on this below:
12) Use of digital phones visual displays and use of AGM Rattler Thermal and AGM Neith NV american defense QD mounts for quick change. Also looking into Sigs Thermal clip on (front of scope or lpvo) or stand alone thermal optic but its upwards of 4k 🤑.
13) Enhanced PSA dedicated lower with polished enhanced trigger nickel boron with captive screw type trigger pins, ambi safetys, ambi bolt release paddle, ambi mag release Troy brand, Magpul FDE extended trigger guard. The lower pleasantly locks up nicely with this Sig MCX upper kit.
14) I will add an Arca Swiss mount behind the front grip on the bottom mlok rail connection for use of Tri pods systems for 360 degree operations, hunting, spotting etc. Love em!! Arca plate not in pics above yet, shipping in route.
15) searching for newer ambi large charging handle for this Mcx also soon. And of course Gas buster version.
16) MCX parts kit see below pics
Cheers Peeps more to come as I can add more info etc!
