These are the same as regular P226???? I was giving mine a good scrub down and had a boo boo...not all that bad except for the sharp edge. Will a regular screw set be correct ya think?

Should work just fine.

Curious...what were you doing that you took a chip out of the screw like that?

Using the wrong size flat head bit for starters...was going to taking grips off and try to get out some more of the oil this thing came soaked in. From the factory they at pretty tight..had too big a bit and too little brains and shazam!!!!

There is no correct size screwdriver as far as I know, unless you buy the Sig armours tool which has a slightly fatter blade. I usually fold a piece of duct tape over the blade of my standard screwdriver it makes the blade slightly fatter and protects the hard steel blade from marring the softer metal grip screws. I've been doing this for years and the majority of my grip screws look good as new.

Looks to me like the Legion screws are finished in gray to match the rest of the pistol.

Oh and Hello, new guy here and fellow Legion owner. Thought I would jump right in the conversation. ;-)
I'm sitting here looking at the screws and I'm worried you may be right. I'm having trouble with this lighting, but I don't think they are same grey as the gun, they seem to match the grips more than the finish of the gun.

I have an old Pachmayr bit set that has one that fits perfect. Unfortunately i wasn't using it on the first attempt!!!!!

Welcome and congratulations, as well.

I put hex screws on my P229 Legion. I like them.

Sorry it happened. You need to use a sharp bit that fits the whole slot tight. If you choose a bit that is sloppy and tapered from use in the grove or does not fit the whole slot end to end you will strip the head out. You probably know all this already. I'm a mechanic and this kind of stuff is in my wheelhouse.
