Enjoy the irony - All you need to disassemble a P365 is a Glock Tool.
1. Normal Field Strip per the Owner's Manual. Should be no issue but do remember about lifting up on the Slide Release to move the Take Down lever forward on re-assemble.
2. To remove the FCU from the Frame: Use the Glock Tool to punch out the pin at the back of the Frame. No real force is necessary - just a firm, constant, push. I go from the left side and push out to the right. The pin will come out - then remove the Glock Tool.
2a. Use the Tool to lift up on the aft portion of the FCU and rotate it up and forward. No force required. The FCU will rotate up and you lift it out. A close inspection of the FCU will reveal the same functional mechanical similarities as the 320 FCU just smaller and "turned" around a bit to fit the space available.
NOTE: There is no reason to attempt to take the FCU apart. The FCU can be easily cleaned with Q-tips fully assembled.
To disassemble the Slide:
1. Lay the Slide on its back. Look at the aft portion of the Slide on the right and you will see a plastic mushroom shaped stud facing the Back Plate. Gently use the Glock Tool and insert it between the end of the plastic stud and the back plate. Push the stud towards the front of the slide and Push (pull) the Back Plate down.
I am right handed - I do this with the Slide in my left hand and the tool in my right. I use my left-hand thumb to slide (push) down on the plate. No real force is necessary for either effort - the stud or pushing down on the plate. I should have said at the beginning that the back plate slides down like on the 320. Instead of pushing on the Ejector Spring you push on this little plastic stud.
2. With the Back Plate off - Look forward on the Slide and you will see how the Striker is held in place by a spring-type plunger. Use the Tool to depress the plunger (No real force necessary) - With the plunger down - gently ease the Striker assembly aft and out of the Slide. There are no itty-bitty Striker springs to watch out for.
3. With the Striker out - the Plunger (and accompanying Spring) will come out of the Slide. Both are somewhat small so watch what and where you put them.
NOTE: There is no reason to disassemble the Striker ever....
Take a moment and look at the Striker and you will see why the Caution is in the Owner's Manual to avoid getting oils or grease in the vicinity of the Striker. The aft portion of the Striker is plastic and fits snuggly in the "chamber" it rides in. Oils, Grease and stuff will gunk this up in a heartbeat causing it to possibly jam or cause light strikes as it moves.
Reassembly
For the Frame - no big deal. Put the FCU in Trigger first and rotate back and down. It snaps right in. Use your finger to push in the pin. It is that easy.
For the Slide - Find the Plunger and Spring (you know where you put them). It is obvious how the spring fits the plunger. Now, put it back in the hole - the Spring goes facing the outside of the slide. Just put it there.
Now slide the Striker in the "chamber" - Tang Up. As you get close to the plunger - use the Glock Tool to push down the plunger and fully seat the Striker forward and ease up on the plunger. NONE of this requires any force whatsoever. It all goes together easily.
To get the Back Plate on - Get the plate started in the slots on either side. Not much now. Gently use the Tool to push the plastic stud forward and slide Plate in to place. It will snap into place.
I know pictures would be great - but I haven't made them yet. Lazy, I know.
If you look at things before you take it apart and go slowly and gently - Ain't no problem.
Oh! --- Use a Glock Tool and laugh as you do it.
