I have a 227 SAS. Dont shoot it often.
mine also has E2 grips but no screw holes to mount standard grip.

 

No screw holes because it uses grip screw plates, similar to the P224.

 

I have one . Just 2 magazines that are 14 rounders.
Sold the others . Of my 2 , one is with the heel, that I fixed . The other is new.
My P227 carry is just like a P229 … only in .45 ACP . Very reliable .

I have the P227 SAS, which is the Carry size. I've picked up number of magazines from CDNN, including 14 round ones without the sleeves, for close-out prices. Since the P227 slide and frame are basically the same size as my P220 SAS, I use the same holsters.

 

There are a lot of full size on the market right now due to PD trade ins. I have a carry 227 but bought my NIB full size first. They are chonky (a bit bigger than a 226 grip) but they sure feel nice to me. I haven't done anything to mine personally. I have G10 Hogue grips for them (got in the box with the carry version, but decided to not use them.

only a few places did the carry size. WISTRANSFERS had a batch 2-3 months ago, but I haven't seen any more since then.

 

Flat trigger. Had one on my P227R and loved it.
