Is anyone privy to any info regarding this new compact optic? A friend sent me a screen grab of the Holosun 507K but I can't find anything other info about it.

I've not been much of a fan of Holosun (Chinese made?) but the current optics offerings for the P365 don't seem to be all that impressive.

I’m really looking forward to this little dot!

So far my 507’s have been flawless and a 512c on an AR build has been excellent as well. The feature sets, durability and glass clarity make Holosun a top value IMO.

I’ve been following the Romeo zero with anticipation and by all accounts it’s a hard pass for me.

ETA: I’m not privi to any insider info however my instincts tell me this micro rds will do something the current market offerings don’t do, “not suck”.

The Sig Zero I got was worse than a Chinese knock off !! Returned it and found a Shield SMSc in stock (polymer version) and it is much better. I installed it and the dot was perfectly centered just above the front sight. Went to the range to verify and its dead on more accurate than I am lol. The pic is 15 yards . Still watching for the Holosun 407k - 507k but for now with the shield I doubt I will change any time soon.

Return it to Holosun (CA address), they'll send you a new one. They did that for me on a 507 that had slightly crooked reticle. I'm running the HE508T GR (titanium green dot) on my P229. Excellent.

Holosun is made in China . . . but where do you suppose SIG sources their entire Romeo line? In fact, pretty sure most of that, if not all, are reputed to be made by Holosun for SIG to their specs (which look to be less featured than Holosun's regular line).

Any idea how much they cost?

From Shield's sight comparing the SMS & the RMSC.

The RMSc is the improvement of the SMS.
If the SMS comes on the Hellcat and the RMSC comes on the P365XL then Sig has the better Shield Red Dot Sight.
The RMSc has a side draw for the Battery to be installed and I believe that the SMS does not.
This is my understanding as well...they have the same footprint. the SMSc is also polymer unlike the Aluminum RMSc...if the Holosun can fit the 365 XL without modification then why can't it fit the Hellcat? Or is it a length/width issue not a mounting footprint issue?

PackinPastor says,,
The RMSc does NOT have a side battery door.
It must be removed to replace it.
From the Shield Website: I read this...Missing that it is not the RMSc
The newly designed RMS has a side accessible battery draw to allow for a quick change.
So many times you SEE but do not SEE...My Apologies for the error.

PackinPastor is absolutely correct!
I stand corrected!

The Larger Shield RMS has a Side Battery Door
The Smaller RMSc does not.

When this thread began Holosun did not have the 507K listed on their website.
I was just there this morning and saw that the 507K is now shown on their website.
I clicked on the "Operators Manual" but it would not launch. "Yet"

I am interested in the 507k that has the Halo and 2moa. I will wait for
the Green display unit.

I will also order the safety equipped P365 XL so I don't have to worry about
accidental discharge when carrying Appendix. That way I can carry with a round in the chamber. I already have had such a setup with my HK P30 LS
and so its nothing new for me.

How much wider is the 407K than the RMS-c? It looks like it is about as wide as an RMR?

My RMS-c has been fine other than it was undersize for the cut out in the 365xl. I managed to fix it by covering the bottom of the sight with some very strong and waterproof tape and running the tape up the ends of the sight. I was pretty aggravated at the time with how loose it was but its worked out well with the added benefit of waterproofing the bottom of the sight. Its been my EDC since July with no loss of zero.

Here is my thoughts from another thread:

I ended up preordering the 407k from Kinzies Optics. If you are willing to sign up for their newsletter they give you a 10% off coupon code by email. I ended up getting the 407k for just under $200 shipped to me.

I actually have the 507c on a FN 509T and find that the circle dot and ring is TOO much for a pistol optic. YMMV

And as I said in that other thread, you can select just a dot on the 507K, if that's what you want. 3 modes to choose from: Dot only; dot + circle; circle only.
