One thing I will say about my Sig 1911, using my reloads, the brass lands about a foot to my right. My least expensive 1911 is a RIA "Rock". The extractor in that gun isn't worth tuning and needs to be replaced. The Rock will throw brass all over the place, so a stand-alone brass catching net might be nice.

That's because you aren't seeing the big picture. Now just close your eyes and envision this contraption attached to your 365 nicely hidden in your IWB holster! There - change your mind? 👿
Also, envision you are a gangbanger doing a drive by - you don't want your brass all over the street, right? 👿 👿

Snag hazard...lol

Seems like it would be a distraction.
Of course. Looking at his web page, it looks as if he's on his 4th generation design now. He notes how it preserves the sight picture, and the new version appears to be frameless and more compact.

On a side note, I paid about 30 bucks for a box of 50 fmj last time. I'm just starting to think about reloading.

I wouldn't want to do without the Lima though.

You would use it only at the range if you reload your own OR if you were a criminal to make sure you don't leave brass with your fingerprints on them.

Just spend the money on a good load of pea size gravel for your back yard pistol range.
I am guessing most of us do not live where we can shoot in our back yards.

Don’t reload, nor am I a criminal. Have a small pistol range at home and always police my brass. Typically put a tarp down to catch it all, scoop it up and throw it in 5gal buckets. Don’t want the mower throwing brass everywhere.

Fair enough. I was not implying you were a criminal. My apologies.

I made one out of window screen (plastic). I measure how high I held the gun from the bench and took a stick of 1/2” PVC, some 90° elbows and glued a “base” together, everything else I sanded the ends so they would slide together easier. The screen I made into a bag so all of it fit in it, everything hit the screen and either stays on the table or just under it.
