X5?

1998 Views 31 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  Oldsalt
Saw this on GB. Strikes me as odd even The Attic isn't even sure what it is
or it's lineage. The stamping on the slide is misaligned and....well poorly
done.

Read their description. Thoughts?

Yup, another frankensig played off as a “x-5”. Anyone buying that for more than $1500-1800 is getting robbed IMHO. The sum of the parts are what I base my pricing at.

Useful for spare parts, I suppose

Not only this gun, but several others The Attic sold/is selling are obvious post-factory done by some private entities.

And, to top it off, they claim in their listing that they received these guns "DIRECT FROM THE SIG SAUER WAREHOUSE IN GERMANY JUST BEFORE THEY CLOSED." Anyone see the bu!!$h!t here? How can they import them directly from the factory, when the German government imposed export ban on SIG DE remains?

I'm assuming they are conflating guns that were sold to a German dealer and then exported by them = direct from the factory....clearly these guys are team Amber...pledge=donate. Also these are most likely some of the USA made X5/X6 frames that were then shipped off to Germany, probably for fitment comparison, and then just were left in inventory until the mastershop was closed and our friend signing all the test targets matchup up frakensigs to push out the door at the last hour.

Pretty gun, real pretty but really over priced.
Pretty gun, real pretty...
Yeah, but they really butchered it. The engraving must have been done while they were under the influence. Or they might have hired CAI to do the job. Truly embarrassing.

Well at least they mentioned "Unusual version" in the title. On the side it shows Sig Sauer NH but that should be there only if Sig USA was the importer. But the importer here is TAI Minot, ND at shown on the picatiny rail on the bottom. Very poor execution by the German seller and The Attic was fooled?

False advertising for false SIGs. Enough to ruin your reputation. Would you buy a gun from these guys?

Agreed, and exactly why I asked. Now look at the price. Mark my word someone will pay
$3300 for it when it's all said and done.

This level of fraud is just over the top.

Anyone else see what else is wrong here? Capital SI then lower case g. Also the alignment of the letters is so far off.

Reminds me of a high school shop project I did years ago, where my engraving work was probably similar in mastery and quality to the gun here. That's not a compliment.

I was watching the "classic" that is ending today till it got up over $3k. It was a least a clean-er factory gen 1 slide(Sig Sauer factory lettering with some other ugly add ons) on a NH/USA Enhanced frame. By serial number there look to be 100-200ish of the NH/USA Enhanced frames, that's where my interest was for it, but not at that price. Interesting comparison will come in about ^ days when a legit entry by them ends.

I don’t think they were fooled!
I’d like to see the look on someone’s face when they bring one of these “new Mastershop guns”back to the attic and ask for trade in value.

If you have money to burn, should burn it on a real deal and enjoy shooting that beauty, and not this P0$.
