Guys, when I first bought my X5 Legion I wasn't too impressed with it but after shooting the CZ Shadow2, I now realize how great the X5 really is. The thing I didn't like about the CZ was it was too nose heavy and it took longer to get back on target doing double taps. The X5 was just super fast and easier to get shots on target.

I have yet to try the 92X Performance but from all accounts its exactly like the CZ Shadow but trigger is a little better. Anyone here own both the X5 legion and Beretta 92X Performance? Which do you like better?

I have both, and the X5 Legion as well. As I indicated to you in the past I don’t shoot competition, and any limitations I experience with my guns are attributable to me most likely. I find the Beretta, off the top of my head, more balanced but certainly heavier. They both are awesome pistols to shoot though, and allow me to shoot about as well as I am capable of.

Not sure if I really answered your question.

The Shadow 2 and the 92X are very similar shooters, different than the Legion X5 for sure. I love the Shadow 2 and after shooting the 92X I can't wait to get one. As for the X5 Legion it's already sold off. Based on your OP, if you didn't like the Shadow 2 I'd suggest you won't like the 92X.

I just bought the Sig P226 SAO legion and was a bit disappointed. Accuracy wise it is on par with my bone stock striker fired pistols like the MP 2.0 in both 4" and 5" barrel. My X5 Legion believe it or not can do tighter groups at 50ft. Oh well it was a $1400 mistake.

I have both an XFive Legion and the Beretta 92X Performance Neither are stock the former was customized by DaveModZ and the latter by Wilson Combat. I carry the Legion AIWB regularly and use the Beretta 92X for USPSA and IDPA events - the single action trigger is phenomenal as the reset is close to nonexistent.
I love the work DaveModZ did as well as he does great trigger work but hammer fired beats striker fire every time in my book

Great looking pistols! If you don’t mind me asking…what did you have WC work on the 92X?

I also have both. I think both are great. My take is it's a bit easier to customize the X5 Legion as there are more after market parts for it and it is modular so sky is the limit. IMHO there are much better thumb assists/take down levers than those pictured in DrFache post, Gas Pedal brand for both pistols makes huge difference in USPSA competitions (however, take my comment with grain of salt, as I have horse in this race). My biggest impression is the 92x is a work of art, absolutely magnificent to look at and craftsmanship is superb. Very Italian, and not your father's Beretta. Berreta has really upped their game! One of few pistols worth every penny of higher price.

Wison does their magic to the Beretta Super S trigger. in terms of details they replace the hammer spring, reset spring w/ lighter Wilson silicon springs, replace the trigger bar and shorten the amazingly reset even more. If you consistently use the same ammo, say 124 gr Federal FMJ, they can tune it up even more

I think you probably get similar results with Cajun parts in the Shadow 2. My guess is that being both DA/SA metal guns, they are similar.

The LGS has a 92X performance in the case, been there a while. It's tempting but I feel it might be redundant since I shoot a S2 already.

But, it's still tempting. Hrm.

That is so odd. My p226 and p229 Legion SAOs make one ragged hole whereas my M&P 2.0 4" is all over the place out of a rest and not close to the same mechanical accuracy. My FS M&P 1.0 is actually superior in that regard.

Try the legion off a rest, you may actually have a bad barrel.

I’m down for an Alien if I want a CZ 2011 derivative
