X-five (original) Anyone have experience with the platform?

Morning folks. I hope this Memorial Day is treating everyone good. New to this forum but have been on calguns for years. I posted a question there and didn’t get any love. I have the original X-five and wanted to put a comp on it. Saw all those cool builds people in YouTube were putting out. I got the Parker Mountain comp system and a subcompact norsso slide. When I try and put the new slide on, it seems like the takedown lever might be obstructing it. Anyone have experience with the platform? Thanks again and cheers.

Welcome to the forum! If the photo is an accurate depiction of its setup when you try installing, I can tell you your recoil spring assembly is in the incorrect orientation on the rear side next to the barrel lug. You would need to rotate it so the longer flats and the holes are in a vertical orientation. Photo attached is a good example how it should be oriented. Good luck with your build!

This is spot on and gets people all the time because it’s counterintuitive from how you would think the recoil spring would go in.

Got me once. Took 30 minutes and a double shot of Four Roses to see it.
