I have Tango 4 6-24x50 and have it mounted on a Remington 700 .308. When I laser bore sight it, the windage is maxed out to one side.. Looking for reasons why.

Had 2 separate rings, but going to try a rail.rail mounted???
rings damaged or poor quality.. swap ring positions or rotate 180°... check sightings each time..
scope damaged or slipped through QC...
bore laser doesn't fit or it's off center - rotate 90° and site again for all positions...
Good thought.. I will give it a try.Using Leupold STD one or 2-piece bases and their rings will allow you to adjust windage to the bore line before using the scopes adjustments.
Totally agree.. the weather here has not been willing to go and shoot it out.Move both windage and elevation to center, grab a box of ammo and head to the range!
Bore sight it and then start shooting - way more fun that playing with lasers!
Good insight.. I will give it a try. Thanks!I tried a laser boresighter on a 5.56 and something wasn't right because the dot was way off even at 50yd. Rolled it across a flat counter top and it was like follow the bouncing ball on a TV screen - only thing missing was song lyrics. Went into the trash. Agree with just looking down the barrel to get it in the ballpark.
Here's a thought though... have you checked to see if your rail needs to be bedded? Neither of the tops of both my 700 receivers were perfectly level and had I just nailed the mount down without checking for a gap and then bedding the rear, there would have been a very small amount of flex on the rail. You can check for receiver evenness by putting a mount screw "just snug" in each end individually to see if there's a gap on one of the ends when the other end is finger tight.
