...a P365 with an 15 or 17 round AXG frame?

AXG frames are for P320, and Sig would have the design a new frame for the P365 from the ground up because the FCU is too small to work. Great idea and would love an all-aluminum grip module for the P365.

15-round mag? No, not with my XMACRO grip going on. But I could see the appeal in an aluminum frame with the same 17-round mag. Especially if the frame costs less than an Icarus or a Mischief Machine for a whopping and ridiculous $400+!

I imagine an aluminum /AXG frame would be popular for the P365 platform.

I wouldn’t buy one but it wouldn’t surprise me if something like this is already in the works. Especially if the Smith & Wesson CSX is selling well.

Another ridiculously expensive aluminum P365 frame? - ah, that's a no here. Spend that cash on a class and more ammo to train with.

I don’t disagree with the training premise. I’ve got the cash for both.

I’ve decided to standardize on the p365 platform and I want a heirloom pistol for my son.Heirloom to me means metal not plastic.

ergo I’ll buy one.

Yes for the right price. Flush 15 rounds.

The after market already has a lot of choices. SIG would have to undercut their partners to make a lower cost AXG. Or it would be a $400 separately bought grip like the p320 AXG grip.

I have the Icarus XL Hybrid which is the most basic and cheapest metal grip available, $270. Sharps Bros grip is a little more.

MM / Icarus EVO / Elite / Shalotek Flex are ~$400

Unless SIG came out with an MM style grip at $300 I think only died in wool fan bois would buy it. The difference in width between the P320 and P365 means that you need to choose how fat your grip module can be. A fancy grip like the P320 ends up being fat like the P320. A thin version like the Icarus hybrid wouldn’t have space to have grip panels on the side.

I don’t see a market for it that isn’t already addressed by a current product.
It never ceases to amaze me, the number of members here that are willing to spend excessive amounts of cash to doll up a P365 with all kinds of color coordinated doodads and the like that contribute nothing to increasing their proficiency with said pistola. Guess many here just want something to admire or look ninja cool at the range or on the interwebz.

Additionally, no matter how much **** you change, add or hang on a P365 you'll never create an "heirloom" pistola.

Of course, I could be wrong.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who complain about how other people spend there money and how they decide to upgrade or spec out there handguns. While providing nothing of value to a thread.

Do rims and a paint job improve the performance of a truck? Nope. But people do it anyway, and they spend more on it than what you might spend on a P365.

People like to admire work they've put into their favorite things, and yes, in light of the foregoing, you might be wrong.
