Nice job! Ain't the 357 Sig the nuts? The frame on your 229 looks real interesting and different than others I've seen. What's the story behind it?

I鈥檓 not sure of any difference.
I bought it last August from a gun shop. Unfired LE. They had 3 of them and I wish I鈥檇 bought them all.

I read somewhere that the railed German frames were kinda rare. Anything to that? Yours is DE stamped as well.
Very nice looking 229 btw馃憤

Railed P229 frames started in the later years of the AM prefix. My AM90xxx is railed. AM鈥檚 went upwards of AM165xxx so literally could be 75k-85k with German frames.

I believe SIG Germany started DE marking the frame, slide, and barrel around 2009. My AM90xxx is 2007, so doesn鈥檛 have the mark. My 2009 P225 is DE marked.

Thanks for the additional pics - what I was referring to is the end area of the frame where the first pic looked like there was (the best I can describe it is an additional support area). I only have one railed gun and it is straight w/o anything at the end.

I see what you are referring to...is yours 357/40 or 9mm?
