mine came without the chamber flag that is supposed to be used when dry firing. So dry firing is a no no? What issues were you experiencing that required sending back to SIG?About 2500 rounds through it. Currently at Sig for repair likely related to dry fire. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat, it’s my favorite .22 pistol
Based on my experience I’d recommend against dry firing without the chamber flag. Either my firing pin or the firing pin return spring broke and I was getting light strikes and sometimes no strikes. What the chamber flag does is keep the slide partially open and prevents the hammer from contacting the firing pin. If you don’t have the chamber flag you could put something between the slide & barrel slightly less than the diameter of a pencil to keep the slide from closing all the way and doing it that way. I’d call Sig C.S. and ask for the chamber flag, it should have come with your gun.mine came without the chamber flag that is supposed to be used when dry firing. So dry firing is a no no? Mine was missing the Chamber Flag too. I called AND emailed Sig and they put me on a waiting list. Out of stock. Apparently Sig did NOT put these in quite a few new 322 boxes.mine came without the chamber flag that is supposed to be used when dry firing. So dry firing is a no no?
