The only recent CZ chambered in .45 ACP that I'm aware of is the 97. But that was definitely a full size gun, not a compact. Discontinued last year.

I got the feeling that the compact was discontinued awhile back also. I'll check with the lgs next week. The only recent CZ chambered in .45 ACP that I'm aware of is the 97. But that was a definitely a full size gun, not a compact. Discontinued last year.
CZYou sure it was a CZ? There are a lot of clones out there. EAA did a compact 45. Might it have also been a 1911? Could have been a Dan Wesson who is owned by CZ.
OK. Then are you sure it was a 45 and not a 40?
CZ 45acpOK. Then are you sure it was a 45 and not a 40?
Let us know what you find. CZ has never made a compact hammer fired 45 that i know of. The 97 which is full size was made specifically for the US market and is their only 45 offering. Perhaps that what you had.CZ 45acp
At the time I believe it was the full size 97 plus a CZ compact 45 acp that I possessed.Let us know what you find. CZ has never made a compact hammer fired 45 that i know of. The 97 which is full size was made specifically for the US market and is their only 45 offering. Perhaps that what you had.
Stay tuned when I consult my LGS in a few days and I'll either report back or feast on crow. It's possible that CZ made an all-steel compact in 45acp (limited run), but never imported them to the US. The CZ 97 full-size is the only one known. Even subscribers on the CZ forums pined for a 45 compact for years, but CZ turned a deaf ear.
I believe it was a Rami. I COULD SWEAR it was a 45 but now maybe it was a 9mm. We'll find out. What wine is recommended with crow? For your sake I hope you are eating crow. The alternative is you got rid of an ultra rare, irreplaceable grail gun! My money is it was an EAA or Sar 45 or a Rami or P06 in 40.
Definitely a nice chardonnay! The Rami is tough to compare to a 938. Its a chunkly little double stack, single/double action whereas the 938 is single stack and single action only. Its got a much smaller profile making it more optimal for deep concealment or pocket carry. I have both a Rami and a 238 and they each have their pros and cons. Both are excellent guns.I believe it was a Rami. I COULD SWEAR it was a 45 but now maybe it was a 9mm. We'll find out. What wine is recommended with crow?
And the accuracy compared to each other?............. Both are excellent guns.
I'm sure phlyers13 will respond, but I find the Rami to be more accurate in my hands. It's easy to shoot well...And the accuracy compared to each other?
