Which Light/Laser For P320 Compact?

612 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Bigjoe7757
It may have been flogged to death in another forum, but I couldn't find it.
I'd like to try a light/laser, I am looking at a Olight BALDR Mini.
Any others in that price range I should consider?

I use the Streamlight TLR-7A. Streamlight is the only budget light I would run. There warranty is excellent and there lights work great and take a beating. I’m running a tlr-1 on another nightstand piece that I bought early 2000’s that was low lumen due to the tech of the time. They completely rebuilt it about 6
Months ago and upgraded it to 300 lumen flood. It’s an excellent HD light now. I have 2 Streamlight HLX on some rifles I built, an RM on my HD Shotgun, the tlr-7a I mentioned above on my carry p320 and 3 TLR-1 on some other pieces. I also run surefire and arisaka lights as well.
I have a TLR-7a on my p320 X-Compact.

All great suggestions but please consider the four rules when pointing your flashlight with a gun on it.

I have read the rule's and I don't see what you are mentioning. What 4 rules? There are 10 rule's under the Forum Standards & Rules. Just asking.

I believe he’s referring to the 4 cardinal rules of firearms safety.

Specifically #4 “know your target and what’s beyond” which I believe he’s implying get a good light so you can identify your target.

Just my guess
Sorry for the confusion. I had a light on my house gun. That’s when I realized that I used it as a light but then pointing a gun in the same direction. Rule number two. Many people believe in gun lights. I just think that it is a bad idea.

RULE I: Treat ALL GUNS as if they ARE ALWAYS LOADED

RULE II: NEVER point THE MUZZLE At ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY

RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU are ready to shoot

RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHATS BEYOND IT

I do agree with you point, something I have thought about. This is specifically what I carry a pocket light for everyday tasks and that odd noise I want to look at and then the other light mounted for rule 4.

When searching, you can bounce the light off the floor or wall while not pointing the weapon at anybody to illuminate the surroundings, with a quick light on, light off. If you are in a low light/no light situation out door's or when there is no power, you might need a light if you don't have a secondary light, which I always carry my Surefire Stiletto Pro. 2 is 1 and 1 is none!

I was running a surefire Titan pro for a while, now I’m running a Streamlight wedge.
