I have just posted they seem to be out of business.
No, that's the Sig OEM two-part piece. They still manufacture 2-part-piece.Is this one piece?

If the one piece aftermarket part is no longer available, you can buy a spare OEM part from SIG and apply LokTite or Teflon Tape to secure the threads. Add checking the fit and function of the guide rod to your daily pre-carry check.I have just posted they seem to be out of business.
It looks like Midwest is sourcing this rod from the ssrods as well, so it is probably not being restocked. Applying Loctite is a step up for sure but the rod will eventually split up.If the one piece aftermarket part is no longer available, you can buy a spare OEM part from SIG and apply LokTite or Teflon Tape to secure the threads. I keep one spare for my two P938s. The OEM guide rod has not failed so far.
Here is a link to one of several threads discussing this problem.
Midwest Gun Works lists the one piece guide rod as SOLD OUT. Perhaps that is code for gone forever... you could call them to see what they know about the mfg.
MGW ships as quickly as Sig... very fast.
Cheers,
Tim
This is the first time I hear that Sig has offered a one-piece rod for P938 - are you quite sure yours is a one-piece rod?I purchased a P938 that was manufactured in Sept 2021 and it came with a one piece rod, so maybe call CS.
To the best of my knowledge, Sig has never supplied a one-piece guide rod. You might want to look more closely, and I think you’ll find a seam. If yours is working fine, that’s wonderful. You might check every now and then to make sure the two pieces are not separating.I purchased a P938 that was manufactured in Sept 2021 and it came with a one piece rod, so maybe call CS.
Just field striped the 938 and I guess you are correct. I never noticed the seam that is right up at the large end. Mine has never given me any problems. To the best of my knowledge, Sig has never supplied a one-piece guide rod. You might want to look more closely, and I think you’ll find a seam. Wondering if @ARMORY CRAFT has any plans to produce a P938 rod assembly?
They were not picking up the phone or responding to emails for over a month. Also, their main phone is disconnected. If they are still in business, that would be a miracle! Although it looks like a 3rd party agency is still managing their website so maybe there is some hope. After my OEM separated at the range and part of it ended up on the floor, I decided no more two-piece guide rods for me. I bought the one piece offered by Stainless Steel Guide Rods and have been well pleased with the purchase. I just looked at their site a few minutes ago and it listed the P938 guide rod as available on backorder. Sometimes Stainless Steel Guide Rods are slow to respond to emails or phone calls. I wouldn't assume they are out of business.
That is disappointing, for sure. They were the only ones manufacturing a one-piece guide rod for the P938, that I know of. Maybe you will be one of the fortunate ones that won't have any problems with the SIG OEM guide rod. My OEM rod, with red Loctite applied, eventually snapped right where the two pieces meet. It did not come unthreaded, mind you, but actually broke. This happened during a match, and I did not realize it until another shooter found the piece on the floor. The gun did not malfunction and I continued to shoot it for the rest of the match with no hiccups. I probably shoot my P938 (carry pistol matches) more than most, so everything gets a workout. They were not picking up the phone or responding to emails for over a month. Thanks for posting and sharing this!I had to replace my rod last month when it launched the rod portion down range. I had no idea it was gone until I got home and started to clean the pistol. I found a replacement here. Recoil Guide
They shipped it in a timely manner and it fit just fine. I got the one with the thin back plate as it was a one piece. Worked fine for a few rounds then the slide broke where the spring rests against the forward inside end of the slide and launched the recoil spring downrange. I was VERY ** off as this was my carry piece. Now it's on the way back to the factory and I am really reluctant to trust it any more. This is more malfunctions with this pistol than I had with well over a dozen other pistols various makes / models and calibers in 50 years of shooting including duty and competition.
