When did Sig USA changed P210 barrel design?

I've replied to my original post below, but it might might help if I create a new thread about barrel design.
Basically I've made a mistake replacing my original barrel under warranty due to a small blemishes that started to appear. After Sig sent the new barrel the pistol stopped racking smooth and after sending the whole gun to Sig, and another barrel replacement, it still does not feel as it was when I bought it.
Anyway, to make the story short, i think the issue with rough slide and intermittent failures to feed (when slide stops few millimeters from locking) is due to a new barrel design and fitting.

I event went and bought another barrel hoping to get the original design and better fit but it came with no insets on chamber sides, same as i currently have and it needs a lot of slide fitting.

I'm considering taking it to a gunsmith (done with Sig's warranty) for fitting but wanted to know when and why did Sig USA changed the barrel design.

This is the original barrel design I had in my P210A

Wow! That's a little disturbing.
I've had my P210A Target for about three years now and my barrel looks like your original.
SIG has had issues supporting this model from the start. My personal hot button is the way they mishandled the poorly designed recoil spring assembly, which fails 25+% of the time.
That replacement barrel looks like it skipped a step or two in their CNC process. Definitely not like the original.
I love my P210A, but I had to buy a DPM recoil spring assembly from ZAHAL to get it to work properly.
You may also need to find another solution.
Did you talk to SIG to see if you could possibly get your original barrel returned to you? Might be worth a shot.
As a last resort I would email these photos to SIG and complain "long & hard" that their new P210 barrel sucks.

I own several SIGs and am very happy with them all. But two of my favorites are discontinued and, after my experience with my P210A, I really haven't considered SIG for any new purchase.

@Jack#9 funny. actually I had zero issues with the recoil spring. I did purchase a spare but after ~2K rounds the original still running strong.
Consider that these pistols are fit very tight and that they do take some time to work in. This is normal on tightly fit target pistols. Before you do more, consider shooting 500 rounds with the barrel SIG returned the pistol with the last time they worked on it. The metal needs to work with closely fit parts moving against each other.

Also, be sure that you're providing consistent grip and stance support for the pistol to recoil against, especially during this break in period.

Is the only difference between the two barrels the lack of the groove highlighted in the red box below?

Yes, the groove is missing. )

The "25+%" figure comes from a poll of P210 owners on this forum. For over a year recoil spring assemblies were not available from SIG because, according to SIG, they were only used for warranty replacement (and, I assume, production).
Later SIG CS told me that another reason was that the recoil spring assembly was being redesigned, but apparently the redesign never happened.

At first glance, they are dissimilar. Weird. Looks like a bbl for a different model or brand gun, if you remove markings
