What Was The Last Gun You Bought That Wasn't A SIG?

We live in a great time to be firearm enthusiasts. An amazing number of great guns being made right now by a variety of manufacturers. Lots of options that run the gambit.

Sometimes, I see guns I really like and they....gasp....aren't SIG's. The last 2 guns I have bought were a Kahr PM45 and a H&K P30SK V1. Both are great guns. Strictly for a target gun, I'm also looking at a Walther PPQ M2 and/or a PPS M2. Both have a bit too much of a hair trigger for me to be a carry gun. I'll also eventually buy a H&K P2000SK V2. Except for the PM45, all the above are in 9mm.

What have you bought lately that wasn't a SIG? How it is shooting for you?

Visited my LGS earlier this week and brought home this unit. A very good and pleasant shooter. I’m very happy with it. CZ75 P-01

I recently bought the new Girsan MC P35 PI. This is a Commander style version of the Browning Hi-Power with a 1" shorter barrel and slide. Its a well made gun. Fit and finish are excellent although a bit on the plain side. I didn't like the grips which I changed out first thing. The only bad thing was the trigger. It was absolutely horrible! Very gritty and inconsistent breaking around 10 lbs. I tinkered with it a bit. Removed the magazine disconnect, a little polishing here and there and got it considerably better. Its still a little heavy, but smooth and crisp. I can live with it.
Hey, for half the price of a real Hi-Power, its a good gun. (y)

Mozambique drills at 10 yards. Not bad for a decrepit 69 year old man. ;)

Most recent acquisitions...

UZI built on a McKay receiver, using mostly IMI parts (check out the Hebrew marked lower!) that I officially SBR'd a couple of months ago. Been waiting for winter to go away, so hope to get some range time soon.

Not sure this one counts, but a few weeks back I picked up a really nice 1972 dated Polish KBK wz 1960 milled AK47 kit from Arms of America. And look at that wood! Looks brand new after a simple cleaning and wipe down with some Behr's #600 tung oil finish! Also picked up a correct profile KBK wz 1960 barrel made by AK-Builder, and a Tortort milled Type 3 receiver that will be the donor to replace the ATF-mandated missing middle section from the original Polish receiver. This reweld will result in the closest thing to a proper Polish KBK wz 1960 AK47 you'll find. The 8-month wait for the build will be an excruciating wait, but well worth the time it takes to get this rifle up and running.

Cheers!

Just another Glock 45 that, like every other Gen 5 I've purchased, has Ameriglo Bold NS. While I was at it, found a good deal on a complete G19 lower so picked it up as well.

A Bond Arms Rowdy. Found one close to me for 1/2 the price of a new one with 2 barrels, a
2.5 and 3" .45 Long Colt/ 2.5 & 3 inch 410. Bought it on a whim. Stays in the tractor tool
box mounted on my fender as a snake gun with #7.5 shot. Haven't had the chance to
use it in that capacity but I will come bush hog and mowing season. On test targets at
3 to 5 yards it'll serve that purpose just fine.

Gunsite Glock Service Pistol... It needs the new Glock Performance Trigger, though it will never match my 1911 GSP's trigger...

I picked up the full size version a while back ago. They are super pistols for the price.

My 1987 Colt 80 series mark 4 gold cup national match (full size) been looking long time to find this one, a lot of them have been over priced and their condition wasn’t so good either. Patience is rewarded! Just have to tune her up and polish her up too!

Most recent acquisition is a CZ P07 9mm. My first double/single action firearm. It has a great single action trigger feel and the de-cocker feature is pretty cool. It's been a very accurate firearm to shoot with the light single action trigger. Not a lot of accessories available for it, but I do have a nice holster.

My latest non-Sig purchase was my first 2011: A Staccato XL. Absolutely thrilled with this gun. I've got a Trijicon RMR I'm about to put on it, and will call it complete. What a thrill to shoot.

Well...followed up my latest non-Sig purchase of a Staccato XL with the purchase of a Staccato XC:

I'm beyond thrilled with the XL. Nicest handgun I've ever owned. But everything I've seen and read says that, as nice as the XL is, the XC is even better. If that is the case - wow! Win, for sure. If it's even close, I'm going to be thrilled with this one.
