Saw an "old style" FDE P226 Combat for sale. What is meant by "old style?" What is the difference between it and the "new style?"

Old style may mean no rail possibly or a rounded trigger guard instead of a squared one?

If it is truly a Combat model, it may mean that is has the short extractor.
Unlike the MK25s, SIG started putting the long extractor on the Combat models a while back.

It did note that it has the short extractor. Is that a good thing?

I would say the short extractor is probably what they mean by old style. Many people like me prefer short extractor--some don't care either way.

Trigger guard of the P226 has always been "squared".
