Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love this holster.
I was a bit skeptical at first because of the combination of Kydex and padded leather, I was worried that it might be to thick and/or bulky to be comfortable. Nothing could be further from the truth. The padded leather design is very “cushy” I guess you could say, it feels like you have a folded washcloth tucked in your pants (no dirty jokes, people 😄) I wear mine at the appendix position.
Retention is adjustable, the clip and all metal hardware are top notch quality.
What I really like about it is the fact that the Kydex wraps completely around the trigger/ trigger guard. I originally was looking at Stealth Gear USA for a hybrid holster but their’s doesn’t encase the trigger guard like this one.
I haven’t noticed any water retention with the padded leather at all. As far as HK models, their website says they make them for the VP9 and VP9sk.
After carrying for almost a year now with the Black Arch I can definitely highly recommend it as a quality IWB holster.
