What do you think is the best looking semi-automatic pistol? Pictures welcome.

As an overall design probably the Walther PPK or the Colt Single Action Army*.

*ETA: Oops....you said semi-auto only.

I have to admit, my favorites are quite simple (and plain), and after owning dozens of pistols, I still don't own either of these, but they are my favorite looking pistols: the Colt traditional "Classic" 1911 and the Beretta M9A1. There is just something that draws me to these pistols.

I don't know which I prefer more (possibly the Beretta if I added wood grips), but third place would be my P229. I love this pistol as well, but the first two place belong to either of the above pistols.

Beautiful Kimber!
Terrible discipline.
Your 1911 should never find itself in this condition, accident lookin for a time & place to happen.
Im just sayin...

So judgey… perhaps they just cleared it and didn’t release the hammer, or they like the hammer back look for photos.

I have to agree with you, as i posted the picture that is all i could see was the cocked hammer. At the time of the picture, i had no experience with the 1911, this was my first. Now that i have had some hours with it, you will never see it left in that position again. Thank you for pointing it out though, safety is always a good topic to discuss.

Yah Yah Yah Perhaps perhaps perhaps lol
Every ND story I ever heard all started out similar.
I was just gonna snap a quick pic...
I never do that, I don't know what I was thinking...
I swear it was unloaded...

The list of excuses is long.
Bottom line, dont do it, eliminate the list.
Its our duty to point out unsafe practices when we see them.
The gentleman even admitted to being new to 1911's and understood the error.
So you callin me out for pointing it out dont even make sense.
Now back to the picture thread.
