Some of my western guns.

The 5 SA's are USFA (left two), Great Western (top and bottom) and 2nsw gen Colt (stag grips - now has ivory). All the grips are ivory. Lightening is an original Lightening. Holsters pair are Uberti Navy .36's, consecutive #'s, with Richards-Mason conversions to shoot cartridges (.38 Long Colt).

I’m down to just a handful after aggressively cleaning out my safe.

A pair of stainless NMV 45 Colts I use for CAS
A blued Bisley 44Mag SBH
A consecutive numbered pair of original Vaqueros chambered in 45 Colt
A Ruger Bisley 22LR

I think that’s it. I had a couple dozen at one time.

The only western-style revolver I own is one of the "old" model Ruger Vaquero Bisley revolvers with the beefier frame and a heftier overall feel compared to "new" model that came out around 15 or so years ago. This Vaquero Bisley uses the same basic frame as Ruger's famed Blackhawk revolver, which is pretty cool. And it's chambered for .45 Long Colt.

I love my Colt SAA but sadly don't get to shoot it as much as I'd like.

Had an Uberti SAA. Buddy is like Felix Unger of the Odd Couple. That dates me!! He can't just leave things alone. Took the Uberti and made it feel like a Colt Custom Shop SAA. This gun is sweet. Don't have a picture.

Revolvers can be things of beauty; like my Ruger Single Six.

One of my first handguns was a Ruger Single Six stainless steel in .22LR and .22 Magnum. I've still got it and have been teaching with it for years.

Back in 2020 during the pandemic, a phenomenal reproduction Colt 1873 New Model showed up at the shop I help with occasionally, made in Italy by Uberti for Cimmaron Firearms in Texas, the Model P. A remarkable reproduction with deep bluing and a fire blued frame. I bought it in .357 magnum / .38 special. It's similar to this one without the medallion on the grips (which is only on the old model). These reproductions are accurate in all operating features, but have improved safety built internally into the firing pin mechanism within the hammer.

I thought the Italian SAA’s all went with the “new” safety hammer and firing pin in frame concept, like Ruger.
