‘Lo all!
New member here, from Hickory - Morganton area of Western Carolina.
Prompted to join by my search for additional “Target” mag base pads for my 2021 (USA) P-210 Target and I figure a forum such as this’d be the most efffectjve way to determine either:
a) the OEM longer target mag base pads are “unobtainium” or not; and if so,
b) what a ready alternative might be (always satisfied to find out a container lid from one product item threads perfectly on another, haha!)
Wife and I also own a LNIB P232 stainless (my “tuxedo gun” ;-) and in a prior life (circa late 80’s) I owned a 229 that a fellow MD SR&P team shooter C. Ratay was gracious enough to really dress up for me and which I carried for several years in a Bianchi shoulder holster rig (til I realized one day while lying on the asphalt under a vehicle in SE DC that such a fine gun probably wasn’t the one to lose for months to years in a post-shoot and eventually wound up selling it to a collector).
Later picked up a used 239 in 9 which I held onto for several years, until it was in the safe more than on my person and another Sig fan scooped it up …
Really prize my 210 Target and have been using it somewhat admirably in “IDPA-esque” def pistol workshops and thus the need for some additional, extended mag bases, haha.
Glad to be here (took some factory armorer courses back in the day under Geo Harris and wonder if I might reconnect with him here, as well …)
