I have a Surefire X200 and X300 and neither one will fit my P226/P229. The back of the lights hit the trigger guard before the crossbar can catch in the groove. What light will fit my SIGS that doesn't cost an arm and leg?

They make different cross bars for those lights. I can’t remember the names but the one I use is marked U. Both my 200 and 300 fit

I have 2 plates with cross bars, one marked P and one marked U. The U crossbar is not as wide as the P so I thought it would fit but i just can't get the light to clip in. I will try again.

Nope, can't get the U plate to catch. I will call Surefire and see if they have any suggestions. Meanwhile I'll throw these lights on some rifles.

You have to remove the back plate from the switch on the X300. Need a small punch to remove the four pins holding the plate in place then it'll move far enough back on the rail to lock into notch.

Or just get a Streamlight TLR7... a "fitting" size...

Update: I figured if the light worked OK without the back plate that maybe I could just file it down some instead of removing it totally. I filed a little at a time and got it to fit just fine...SUCCESS!!!
