This vendor also carries many of the older German style springs such as Trigger Bar Springs from the earlier era for P226/P228/P229s before the "loop". Including early Safety Lock Springs, for those looking for replacements.

Are the rubberized floorplates actually completely discontinued? I am not surprised if the shorter German ones aren't made anymore, but even Mec-Gar?

As far as Sig marketed, I believe so, but Mec Gar may still make them intermittently.

Are those padded floor plates only for the 226?

Pretty much. They will physically fit and function on P228/P229 magazines as well, but there's no point. The plastic floorplate on P228/P229 mags is already enough "padding" and replacing them with any kind of P226 floorplate will make the floorplate stick out too far forward when the magazine is in the gun.

As TigerBW already advised, they are intended and profiled for the P226.

While they may fit other brands and models, they may not be as functional, or pleasing to the eye, as the intended purpose.
