Maybe an OCD-esque question, but I don't think it is normal as no other pistol I have handled does this.

On my 226, when the slide is locked back and I pull the trigger it still produces an audible click, and I can feel it as well. Thoughts?

So does mine. But it operates correctly when the slide is released (i.e., the hammer does not follow the slide as it is released).

Factory clicker option to fool the enimy in to thinking you are out of ammo when in fact you are out of ammo. It didn't sell well but should be worth about whatever someone is will to pay more for it on gun broker aka marriage broker. ��

For those transitioning to the SIG platform it is not uncommon to have learned that to remove the slide in other platforms one must pull the trigger first.

PPS1980, what you say does make sense, However I am not familiar with any system that has you lock the slide to the rear and pull the trigger! If there is one , let me know.

we suffer from the same OCD problem. Seems to happen with some, but not all classic Sgs after a bit of wear.
