I'm looking for any tips anyone is willing to offer on the what they did to to remove the factory grease, etc. from their NIB rifle and what initial lubrication you might have used when breaking it in. Honestly, the majority of what I'm experienced with are FALs which sadly you can't buy new and typically require only regular maintenance cleanings. Same applies for the M1A I own. After scouring this forum, it seems that the factory grease is more of a protectant and not a lubricant. I'm looking for any advice you might have that increased your odds of having a smooth running rifle. For the record, I do plan on following the barrel break-in process as outlined by Sig. Thank you
