My old Oehler 33, which I purchased just after the end of the Civil War, has quit.

Any recommendations for a replacement?

LOL! Actually, at one point I loaned it to my brother and he shot two of the sky screens, but fortunately I bought spares when I originally got it.

ProChrono Digital Chronograph

I have a ProChrono with the digital link and love it. I added the Bluetooth adapter and their Digital Link software (free) to my phone and tablet. The software calls out shot speed after each round. It measures everything I shoot from .22 pellet guns to .357SIG. I don't shoot .223 but they advertise a Velocity Range of 21-7,000 feet per second.

Having had an Oehler chrono which was a premier chronograph and known for their accuracy, you may want to consider the CDM2 chronograph which is also a premier chronograph. i'm very satisfied with mine and have had others in the past but the CDM2 is my favorite.
