Steve has threaded a few barrels for me. It sounds like you're reluctant to send it to him, he does great work.

I used snipe_custom_arms for a 9mm Wilkinson Linda. I was impressed by their work and quick turnaround. I think it cost $75
Not so much reluctant. Adco/Steve has done a great job on a couple of AR barrels for me. Was just looking for somebody that really spends time working on 556s. I'm planning on trying one of my suppressors on it and was hoping to find a smith that could thread and provide insight on how these rifles will run suppressed or if other changes need to be made.
Guess I didn't really ask the right question
