Nice, the story behind it would be great.
Just something found on GB. From seller's description,

Serial no 005 out of 250 units produced.

This P225 was manufactured to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the SIG P6 (P225) service pistol in 2004. On the left of the slide is the SIG SAUER logo in gold inlay, as well as "1979 - 2004 25 Jahre Dienstpistole P6" also in gold inlay. Right side of the slide reads "J.P. Sauer & Sohn GmbH", "gegründet 1751" ("founded 1751"), and 005, all in gold inlay.
He's asking only $3,495.00.

Yes, I noticed that one the other day. It kind of reminded me of the P226 25th Anniversary model discussed here, a while back, along with the "M11" 25th anniversary, M11A1, more recently

What is a good holster for this since it is a real p6/225?
Numrich/Gun Parts Corp has some of the original P6 holsters available, along with some ebay vendors, if you want "original".

I've found Mitch Rosen has their 5JR Express and Upper Limit Express available for the P6/P225... or instead of the "Express" versions, you could get the "fitted" versions with linings.

The "M11" 25th was ridiculous, cooked up by SIG NH, using the M11-A1. Use the real thing, if you were gonna do a commemorative gun.

This P6 and that P226 are the real deals.

"Beautiful French or Circassian walnut grips, shame about the fit though.
