Recently had a chance to shoot my M17 with the new threaded barrel (finding one with the LCI was a royal PITA, but I did eventually find one). The M17 with threaded barrel was even MORE enjoyable to shoot; my green laser & red-dot were not quite perfectly on-target and like a *******, the two tools I needed were in the 'other' range bag (ugh! Time for backups for the backups).

In any event, at 15yards, I was shooting 9-ring at 4:00 (attributed to laser / red-dot misalignment).

Hello, who did the modifications to the side slide serrations and to the top of the slide on your M17? I've never seen that done on a M17 before I would love to get something like that done to my M17 that looks great! Thanks!

Gotta say, I have the same RDO on both my Beretta LTT Elite and my M18. I find the dot much easier on the M18 than the LTT for some odd reason. Comes really natural with the Sig. Now if the Sig just had the LTT's trigger, I'd be set! But the more I shoot it, the more I like the M18. Contemplating a gas pedal for it.

It turns out that the differences between the issue M18 and the commercial P320/M18 are more significant than I thought:
One significant difference is the recoil spring. It’s lighter in the P320/M18, apparently to allow use of lighter civilian ammo.

Hopefully the mods will allow an M17/ M18 thread to be stickied. The military version of these great pistols deserves it's own place. I'll start it off. Sorry for the bad cell phone pics, I can't actually pick mine up until Thursday, because the LGS got it in too late to enter it in the system last night.

So far it seems to be in incredibly good shape. Most of the discoloration I think is oil, I'm interested to see how new it looks with a good cleaning. There is a scuff on the grip module beavertail, and the clerk joked that it was "the one" they used for the drop tests. :lol: The barrel stamping matches the slide, so it's definitely not a parts gun. (Edited: I just discovered the barrel number on mine is the same as on another forum member's pistol. Evidently the MFR# and PN# are the same for all M17's? Can someone confirm this?)
