Standard p365xl FCU vs Custom Works p365 FCU

What’s up guys! I am trying to figure out if there are any differences between these FCUs besides the TiN coating? i have a custom works FCU where the previous owner replaced the gold flat trigger with a black one and lightly media blasted the areas you can see when the full pistol is assembled so they are a flat steel color instead of the TiN. I do like this look but am thinking about picking up the all black standard one and selling the custom works one as i do prefer the all black. Are there any benefits to the custom works FCU that would make this a dumb move? are there different generations i should look out for with the standard FCU? thanks all!

Nope. You nailed it. Just the color difference. And i too am not a fan of it. My buddy's was hard to put in and out of the grip module because the tolerances changed slightly due to the coating. From what i have heard, the coating doesn't last either. All sorts of posts showing how bad that gold finish is on the barrels. Personally seen it too. So dont worry about it and go with whatever you like better.

I have a question on this. I see the custom works FCU for $349, the one with gold coating.

The regular FCU (black, flat trigger) is for sale also, right? Anyone know a part no or sku and the retail price, off hand?

All I’m seeing on GB or elsewhere is the fancy coated one, but I’m not really wanting that one. Example below.

I’ll keep searching and if I find one will post back.

Thanks!

Found this one, out of stock, but appears to be black PVD, which I assume is the ‘normal’ FCU:

AB Prototype shows several combinations of black&gold but none are in stock.

@Rich Jenkins, if you're not opposed to Gun Broker, I just saw multiple black FCUs for sell there. This seller in particular, although there are one or two other sellers also if you just search "P365 fcu."

No, don’t mind GB. I’ll check my local FFL in Jan and see if he has one on the shelf, also.
