So I hear that these are discontinued. ***?!?!! I have one of these in atf jail. I bought it from a Sig shop. Told them it was going on a 10.5 AR. They told me no problems.

Now I hear Sig got sick of fixing them due to "abuse". Well what does that mean? Too short of barrel? Mag dumps? I thought it was FA rated?!

Did I buy a turd? I'm about to buy a new YHM turbo. I might consider another 556ti but not now after this. I'd rather have matching cans but now Ive sorta got buyers remorse.

Any insight?

Interesting. SIG doesn't list the 556Ti QD anymore (or it's not listed on their site at the moment anyhow), but they do still list the 556 and 556 QD models:

https://www.sigsauer.com/products/suppressors/rifles/

But SilencerShop still lists the 556Ti QD (along with the others) and it's even available on their site right now:

https://www.silencershop.com/silencers/5-56mm-rifle/sig-sauer-srd556-qd-4452.html?

It wasn't all that long ago that you couldn't find any of the SIG silencers listed on the SilencerShop website. So, I find it hard to think that SIG discontinued that model and SilencerShop is selling old stock or something. I would think that if SIG had discontinued the 556Ti QD, a high volume dealer like SilencerShop would have sold all of their inventory a awhile ago.

If I was interested in getting one, I would reach out to either SilencerShop or SIG to see if there's anything to that discontinued story. But since I'm not shopping for a 556 can, I'm going to go back to work now. :)

Cheers,
