Spectre Comp shipped with NO extractor

2656 Views 41 Replies 22 Participants Last post by  P-DiddyG
Good afternoon everyone, I was wanted to see if I was the lucky winner or has this happened to others. As the title says I just received my new P320 Spectre Comp, took it immediately to the range and it would NOT eject anything. Not one single ejection. Brought it home and in better light, started taking the gun apart and noticed that it does not even have the ejector in place….! Nothing. You can see brass when a round is chambered. I could not be more disappointed in SIG!! I know that they will repair/replace it…..but damn for their “this is the best gun we have ever made” to arrive like that sucks.

So, is it the extractor missing, or the ejector? Title says extractor. Either way, SIG QC SUCKS! Inexcusable.

Wow.. worst case I see ..
But then again.. we’re all human…
Human gets lousy and Lazy sometimes.. lol
Do you have a picture of this? I worked QC/QA years ago, but not in the firearms industry - so I'd be interested to see a picture of this. Not sure how QC, packaging (if there is such in Sigs process), a distributor then dealer (they should be checking serial numbers, or purchaser could miss this.

As mentioned above, is this the "extractor"? I assume that is what you are referring to. I guess on a classic p series it would be possible to forget to install an "ejector" and then no one would see it (assuming the pistol will go together without it - never tried). However, a missing "extractor" is a pretty tough foul up and glaring just picking a pistol up. I know very little about strikers and the p365 design so I just looked up the exploded view and don't even see an "ejector" inside the 365.

Perhaps if you are referring to the "extractor" it may have flown off on your first shot as I don't know how that many people could have not noticed it. May want to contact the range you shot at and see if it laying around.

Now I am confused and have a question - is there an "ejector" somewhere in the design of the 365s frame?

My interest is peaked.

Pics would help. This seems odd, to say the least.

What self-respecting FFL let that gun out of the store?
I’m thinking your talking extractor Yeah sigs qc sucks. I have a friend who worked their and left because he didn’t agree with the qc process

I'm guessing he does mean extractor by the brass being visible when chambered.

OP, did you inspect the gun when you picked it up? Was the extractor there or did you overlook it?

This thread is in regard to the P320, here is a picture of the extractor on the slide of the pistol the OP has that he states is not there:

This is the extractor on the P365 - extractors are on the slide:

Yep….extractor. I still can’t believe it. It’s headed back to Sig. I don’t even know how that can happen, but here we are.

Great question. I gave it a general glance and racked the slide a few times for good operation. I did not notice it wasn’t there until I was standing on the firing line after 2nd failure was when I first realized it was not there.
Custom works… says it all. They grab parts out of a bin, assemble and ship..

VA GS….my interest is peaked as well. I just got off the phone with Sig and there interest is peaked as well. I spoke with “James” with the “custom dept” and he said he would get to the bottom of it. I sent him a pic and am mailing them the gun this afternoon. He said he would send me an email after they determine if it was a “defect” or simply missed the part. Hopefully answers this week. Oh i added a pic to the other pics o n this thread.
