Sig P365-.380 Optics Cutout Question

In responding to a post earlier, I pulled out my 9mm P365s wearing Holosun 407k/507k optics. The optics cut on the X slide and the XL slide are definitely shorter than than the one on my .380, and it also appears that the depth is more shallow. Does anyone know the optics around which the .380 version was designed? I imagine that the depth just determines how high the sight rides above the slide, but the length is puzzling.
