Sig p320 m18

2327 Views 34 Replies 18 Participants Last post by  Fullcircle
Just purchased my first Sig Sauer pistol. I went with the P320 M18 for my introduction to Sig. I own 3 glocks and a Springfield Hellcat Pro as well.

Anyway I am trying to order a holster from Black Arch Holsters. Choosing Sig for make and P320 for model also brings up P320 options. Do I choose " Carry" for my 18? I don't believe it's "compact 9mm/40/357". I know the m17 is the "full size 9mm/40/357 ". The other options I know are not for the m18. So is it "compact" or "carry"? Also will they include room for the ambi manual safety?

I have one
DUAL CLIP IWB PROTOS-M® WITH DRI-MATRIX™ BREATHABLE BACKER

That I ordered for my Hellcat Pro and it is a phenomenal holster. Just want to make sure I give them the right model. Thanks in advance and God bless. Also on the official Sig website they refer to the m18 as the "compact" version of the m17. But also list the size as "carry".

Try Versacarry. They have a pretty good selection.

Contact them, let them know it’s a manual safety model. I went through this very same issue a couple months ago. They’re awesome people to work with.

Why thank ya , North Carolina here. I just put 44 rounds through this thing and it makes a glock and Springfield look like there sick. I love all my handguns and my EDC is a hellcat pro. But as soon as I get my holster that will change to the M18. Phenomenal pistol I have been missing out.

I bought a 40SW upper last year and surprised how much it tames the recoil. 9mm is great as well. I have a hard time deciding what to carry Shadow Systems MR920 or Sig 365xl.

I actually looked at the shadow systems 9mm's the day I bought the M18. Having glocks I thought I'd at least look into them being "glock clones" essentially.

But I've honestly had my heart on owning a Sig for a while. They had the 365's and the black 320's the m17's as well. But man the M18 was just singing to me.
That's nice to know that the frame of the m18 will handle a .40 S&W upper. I have a Gen 5 Glock 22 that's. 40 cal. As well.

Thank you I actually put in the notes the model and the serial number as well as the fact that it had a ambi manual thumb safety. Along with barrel length and grip specs, magazine capacity.

Apparently there are several variants of the M18 itself, amongst the 9mm caliber.

Where in NC? I'm in Asheville currently. I'm currently building my own version of the m18.

On the 320's the Full size is standard 17 rounds with 4.7 barrel, the Carry is standard 17 rounds with 3.9 barrel, and the compact is standard 15 rounds with 3.9 barrel. Then there used to in production the sub compact which holds 12 rounds and 3.9 barrel (if I remember correctly on this one). Then you have the X compact or Compact Pro that is 15 rounds with 3.6 barrel. Then there are different size grip modules that can be changed Small, Medium, Large. Sig ships 320's with the medium module and you should be able to find the size on the back strap towards the lower end.
Welcome to Sig and nice first purchase! I love my commercial M17 and M18. Both fine pistols! Enjoy!

X compact has 3.6" barrel and 15 round mag correct.

Congrats on the new P320 M18! I own two pistols, the M18 and a P365. I love them both and I’m able to shoot them better than other striker fired pistols. I’ve never had a failure with either gun. I just ordered a Safariland holster for my M18 to fit with a Streamlight TLR 7-A light.

Welcome from NE Ohio, it’s a carry size and a great striker fired pistol

Nice I definitely want the Romeo Pro 1, hefty 439 $ lol. Back and forth between tlr-7a and tlr-1. So IWB or OWB? I am assuming OWB?

I think the TLR 1 sticks out too far. It’s brighter than the 7A. I really like the red dots. I put a Trijicon on my shotgun too. My eyes are getting old.
Yes, OWB.

Nice I CC since I got my CCW back in May of this year. My EDC is a Hellcat Pro in a black arch hybrid holster. In the small of my back.
So I am having another one made for my m18. Sadly it's hard to find a hybrid light bearing iwb holster for the m18.

I am very picky about my EDC setup. I have to trust the holster and the gun. Also has to be comfortable with good retention. That Protos-M checks off everything. Except light bearing.

Correct. You had me thinking I left that out there for a minute.
