Hello everyone new to the forum. Yesterday I purchased a P229 Satin Nickel with both barrels 40 and 357 and a total of 4 magazines. Has box and all the paperwork. Test round in envelope indicates 2004 production. Looking for opinions on this model. I heard that is assumed that the satin nickel finish is actually Robar NP3. Does anyone know if this is true?

Also, your gun sounds like the June 2004 Gun Of The Month (GOTM).

Year: 2004
Month: June

Features:
Model: P229
Satin nickel finish on slide and frame
Caliber: .40 S&W
Part Number: 229-40-SN
Total Production: 708

Here's info on the GOTM program from SIG, which ran from 2003 to 2005.
