I know there are a few threads on the SIG P227 but I found a place that was selling them at what appears to be a decent price. I'm not sure what the special configuration is all about. But if someone is looking for one, hopes this helps.

Thank you, that makes sense. Sig's standard package is only two mags from what I have researched so far on the other P277's that I have found on line.

The 'W' prefix means that the gun was produced with the intent to be sold through SIG's APP/IOP discount program to military and first responders. The 'SP', in this case, does mean that it is packed with three mags, where those sold at regular prices are only packed with two.
