New-to-me Sig P226 Combat, to which I added a Sig-factory threaded barrel.

Why did they put the Short Reach Trigger in this gun?

Changing to the.....

...Standard Contour Trigger is one of the easiest and cheapest changes you can make.

The part is less than $30 0n Midway USA.

Installation is easy, too. I learned how watching a YouTube video. 20 minutes start to finish.

Because they want to laugh while you get your finger pinched. My TAC ops had one, swapped out for an adjustable one

As someone with short, stubby fingers I wonder the same thing as the OP. The reduced reach trigger pinches my trigger finger too (which someone else mentioned).

Get a Gray Guns trigger properly installed, you'll never look back. I never thought I'd pay for trigger work on any gun, but now I'm not sure I can ever have a Sig that doesn't have the GG P-SAIT installed with SRT & Action Enhancement work. Almost makes me want to get rid of my semi-custom 1911s.....almost.

That's just what they put on them. And I happen to like them.
And I don't have short stubby fingers at 6'2".

OP doesn't need an over-price GG trigger.
Just get a standard SIG trigger and, if you want, the SRT kit. Easy to install.

Just sent it to Sig for the AEP, SSP, and SRT. I am also going to have them install a standard trigger.
