While doing my research for P226 .22 lr conversion kit parts I found that Taylor Tactical Supply has quite a few after market parts (and CDNN sports).

Information on the 22 LR slide

"The slides on the 226/229r/220 are the same. The barrel lug itself should have numbers on it. Could be 29/26/20 which would indicate that barrel it is.
The magazines are also different, 229’s are a little shorter then the 226’s and the 220s are a little “deeper” as the 45s are longer front to back."

I bought a few of the P250C-22 mag upgrade kits; they upgrade the mag capacity from 10 to 14 rounds. I haven't had a chance to test them out yet.

Very nice! Please let me know how they feed! Even though I can't have nice things in CA, I will live vicariously through you!

You missed another important link. GunMagWarehouse has the actual sig mfg mags! I believe they have them for 220/226/229 if I remember right.

They had 229’s on sale a while back. I bought a bunch and ground the base plate of the magazine down so it will fit my 226’s. Works great. 229 just uses a taller base plate to fill the gap between the base plate and the gun.

I left CA on Sept 1, 1992 for southern NV. One of the first things I'm going to probably buy once my father's estate settles which is in San Diego CA are a couple of suppressors, a pre-86 civilian transferable H&K MP5 and an AR-15 RDIAS if a binary trigger doesn't make me giggle enough with an

NFA items and NFA Nutkickers are still legal in NV. 😉

Something about San Diego CA real estate purchased almost 52 years ago and appreciating by a factor of almost 20 makes NFA items within financial reach of this heir of his father's estate.

OP,
Wrong answer from Michael.
The 4 vconfigurations of Slides are NOT the same.
Install a P226 slide on a P229 & get back w/ me for instructions on how to remove said slide from the frame.
Yes,Bbl lugs are marked in RH side of lug.
Magazine bodies of P226 & P229's are identical, the floor plate of P229's have .300" legs to fit the shorter mag well.
P228/229 & P229R slide chins are different length.
P228/229 recoil spring guide rods are longer than the P220/P226 guide rod.
Firing pin/hammer stops are different thickness from P220-P226 being thicker.

Yes, I expected that the barrel, guide rod, and spring are probably different. I believe he was talking about only the slide itself.

Is your experience with the 22 kits or the regular sig slides?

The markings on the 22 lr barrel right side do not include the model it is for. (Just the caliber like normal) I suspect the markings are elsewhere. When my kit comes in I will inspect.
