Does anybody know what trigger is recommended for replacement? Sig said that anAR-15 trigger can replace it.

This is Sig's statement about changing MPX triggers....

MPX Trigger Compatibility

The SIG MPX has a fire control group specifically designed to accommodate the high impulse of the MPX operating system. The MPX Trigger Bridge (indicated below by arrow) is in place to reduce wear and extend the life of the factory installed fire control components. Removal of the Trigger Bridge is NOT recommended and will void the warranty of the firearm. While the SIG MPX fire control components are similar to the AR15 platform, and aftermarket fire control components may fit, installation is NOT recommended in the SIG MPX. Doing so may result in damage to the MPX proprietary fire control components or the aftermarket components you installed.

Are you saying Sig customer service told you it was Ok to put in an AR trigger?

Tommysig ,just wait for these guys to come out with MPX trigger this year, Ive spoken with them and they are working on one and the only thing that they could tell me that it was in the works and would be out sometime in 2017. It will be the SSA MPX trigger. https://geissele.com/

Thanks for the info. I will wait.
Northsight, no one at Sig gave me information about changing. I was looking on the internet at different reviews of the Sig MPX.

Timney is far and away my favorite aftermarket trigger for the AR platform. As a bonus, they're right here in AZ -- just off I-17 & Deer Valley.

Just be aware, that you're almost certainly going to void the warranty on your MPX by doing this.

No worries...

Tommysig,

Just was curious if Sig had changed their tune on aftermarket triggers.

My new MPX carbine came with a big card in ominous red and black discouraging trigger mods.

But, I'm also seeing lots of folks on the MPX facebook page and USPSA PCC sites talking about the Hiperfire triggers. Particularly the 23C.

IF one have to send the MPX in for warranty work after replacing the stock trigger with an aftermarket one, it shouldn't be an issue to switch back to stock before sending the gun in.
