Sorry if this has already been discussed but does anyone know why Sig wasn’t present in Houston last month for the annual meeting?

They wanted to concentrate on production. They got nothing new. It was announced a while ago and has nothing to do with recent gun related incidents.

Thanks Sherpa. I missed their announcement concerning that. It still seems like a mistake on their part when all the other players showed up. I've heard a number of people complain about it.
Yep, Sig was missed and as Roger said everyone else was there. So much so I went
two days just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Dropping P series and 1911s, so what's to show. Everybody has plastic pistols.

SIG is concentrating on its DoD contract and LE contracts, not the NRA and civilian sales. SIG's civilian business will take a back seat to DoD business which is measured in billions of dollars. The DoD business includes suppressors, tons of ammo for SIG's proprietary cartridge sales plus the M5 rifles and belt fed machineguns. SIG's problem is one of trying to produce enough product on time to satisfy the US military.

Bill
Roger that (no pun intended) Mr. McGoo.

Still seems like bad optics in this day and age. They need to remember how they got where they are.
Sig+BIG govt contracts=don’t want to upset it’s new masters.
Nra is now seen by some or should I say many in Congress as the enemy. Sig probably doesn’t want to rock that money boat by appearing to side with an organization who’s supported by a bunch of ole white racist supremacists.
The military side of Sigs income is probably getting close to eclipsing it’s income from civilian sales if it hasn’t already passed it. I don’t think they care if you or I ever buy another gun from them.

They should remember the civilian market is here to stay (for now at least) but military contracts come and go. They can ask Colt about that.................

No different than Colt they won’t care until they have to. Colt in the 80s and 90s all but forgot us. It was only when Fn got awarded the lion share of contracts Colt once had that they realized we were still here.

Maybe it's because Sig is still focused on firearms, and the NRA is only interested in silk ties for Wayne.

Based on the number of people attending I would say Beretta took the show as the Beretta space was elbow to elbow compared to the other companies even Colt. Ruger, Glock, and Henry was not even close.

But yet he won.
But yet he won.
More's the pity.

Much as I hold my nose when I send money to NRA despite Wayne's transgressions, NRA is still the pro-gun advocacy organization universally hated by the media. They must be doing something right.

Not perfect but I still believe in them and will still work with them. I also support other organizations as well.

When Wayne goes as well as his cronies, I’ll reopen my wallet. Until, hello Gun Owners of America.
