Anyone know of a suppressor that will work with the 551? I've looked online can't find much on the topic..

Any 5.56 can should work. The key is making sure the muzzle device thread pitch is what a standard AR uses.

Being a piston gun, running it suppressed will keep the gas from blowing back in your face.

Check the Silencer Shop in Austin. They pretty much have every option and assessory
you can think of. Plus they'll do the paperwork for you.

Otherwise it's just a matter of changing out your muzzle device and you're good to go.

Thanks alot!!
Are you looking for something specific? Pretty much any suppressor rated for 5.56 should work. I don't know what the thread pitch is on the barrel but you would just need to get the correct thread adaptor or muzzle device for your chosen suppressor. Many people use a .30 caliber suppressor for flexibility but 5.56 doesn't suppress well so a 5.56 specific suppressor will always work better.

Yep, I went with the .30 caliber. Works like a champ on my SCAR16

Sweet! I'll make sure the thread pitch is correct for what I buy. Good to know! I'll look for a 5.56 specific suppressor then😊😁

Nice rifle. I'm on day 338 of waiting for the ATF to grant me permission to pickup my suppressor.

Wow! What the hell is taking so long! Ridiculous hopefully you get the grant soon.
I did my forms under the old system before the ATF rolled out eforms.
It's supposed to be 90 ish days for approvals using the new system.
