Sig 516 11.5 Rare

This is one sexy looking 516G2. I wonder if it's as easy as having my 16" chopped threaded and crowned.... 🤔. I may have to look into this further.

I had one of my 14.5" uppers cut down to 11.5". I had to open up the holes in the gas valve to get it to function, since SIG wont sell you the gas valve for the short barrel guns.

It also came with an H2 buffer. Yes you can chop it

I had essentially the same experience with a 14.5 that I had cut to 12.5. On normal setting would only run reliably with hot 5.56 ammo. Mixed results with lesser 5.56 and .223 ammo. Tried putting my 10.5 gas valve in it and it ran like a scalded dog. But I can't get Sig to sell me one either. Not sure what their problem is.

Fellas, SIG doesn't like to sell certain parts but has anybody tried to send their rifle in to the Custom Shop for the swap? It may work.
