Hello Liver, SIG owner since the '80s here. I was also a LE SIG, Colt and other manufacturer's armorer for years. Reference a tad more lock up at the muzzle of the SIG. The barrel to slide fit of the SIGs, to include the muzzle area, is just excellent. No matter the era of manufacture. Wish some of my 1911s fit so well. I admit I'm perhaps a bit OCD about fit of component parts on pistols I own. I still own a few SIGs, and just don't see how SIG lock up at muzzle could be improved with a special bushing, while maintaining functional reliability......ymmv
