SGAmmo (https://www.sgammo.com/) has Winchester #1 Buckshot home defense 12ga. 3"/24 Pellet shotgun shells back in stock. $9.95/Box of 5

They still had 60 boxes when I ordered.
Yep, still have some but I have plenty. I'm surprised more people don't carry shotguns in their vehicles. Mossberg has some nice short SD ones and there is no shortage of buckshot or slugs. Go figure. If that man in Portland would have had one and kept the door of his pick-up locked, he would have been positioned better. There needs to be some serious push back on these "peaceful protestors". See how easy it drags people off topic. Buckshot isn't bought for target practice much.

BIGTEX——. A thought on Buckshot for HD, thinking smaller=better:

1). shot distance will be extremely close (likely just 5 feet to 30 feet) therefore #4 Buck or even BB size pellets will be very effective.
2). Smaller shot size less likely to penetrate beyond intended target (Sheetrock walls or ceilings/floors) and less likely to injure innocents.
3). A 2 3/4” shell holds enough #4 Buck/24 or BB/60 pellets to be effective with slightly less recoil then a 3” shell.
4). Many Police Depts use #4 Buck in their 12 ga shotguns.
I don’t think #1 Buck is a bad choice and certainly better then OO. For hunting and Deer size game OO or OOO Buck is significantly more effective but Home Defense is different.....at least in my opinion.

I'm pretty much basing my choice on several articles I read about #1 buckshot and home defense. Quite a few 12 ga. loads would be devastatingly effective. Several weeks ago I couldn't find #1 anywhere online. I left a "Notify me when back in stock" with SGAmmo and today they sent me an email and text message. I jumped on it and ordered some. It, like every other ammunition now, won't last very long in stock.
