The 135 page decision was released today. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/20-843_7j80.pdf

The main issue was NYS making Concealed Carry Licenses too difficult to obtain, which made the right to keep and bear arms outside the home a gateway only the rich could obtain. They have ruled that NY "shall issue" the license without requiring special circumstances or a review process that only permitted politically aligned citizens.

There are a lot of potential follow on results - this also impacts the other 9 "may issue" states who were also restricting carry, and it could lead to having Universal Reciprocity of licenses across the Nation.

TL;DR THIS IS A MAJOR GUN RIGHTS WIN!

As I pointed out in a different forum this is only the beginning of the lawfare that will be waged up the citizens of NY. It will be years of litigation and denial of rights because the NYS AG is determined to do so.

I opened this forum today to comment on that very issue! You beat me to it brother! 100% win. Now let's just see what roadblocks they put in the way now. Such as very excessive training requirements, ridiculous permit fees, or some ridiculous tax on firearms and ammunition!;)
