I'm really liking the Crossbreed belly band. Holds the gun good and secure, also has a pocket for keys and you can add a mag pouch or two. Around the house, I'm always wearing draw string shorts, the belly band is perfect for that or running shorts. (unless maybe you wear spandex running shorts  lol)

For kydex to go with the belly band, Jason at Concealment Solutions makes a product that is superior to anything at Crossbreed, at a better price to boot. I own a few of his Pit Vipers, including one for my Shield. Retention is excellent and the entire system will hold the weapon securely for you, none of the flopping around like in a fanny pack, which gets pretty old after five, ten miles.

There are some undershirt options, although I'm not sure how well those would work for those who have plenty of belly. Losing weight is a good goal, however! I've lost ten pounds myself in my bid to get in better shape. Physical fitness is critical wrt self defense simply b/c you may never have the opportunity to get to your gun, let alone draw it. God forbid we're ever attacked by a scared kid who just wants to get home, but waits in hiding just a little ways away from his dad's house to ambush you while he talks with his girlfriend on the phone and eats "skittles". We may find ourselves in the fight of our lives! Just ask George Zimmerman! Good on you! Lose that weight and get into shape, and let us know what you end up doing for a concealment holster.

I ordered a belly band from Gluck store today since it was only $30, and recomended by coworker. The crossbreed looks like a good option with the concealment solutions pit viper which I will probably try in the future.

I plan on a shield 9mm to start with my testing. As my father has it in all available calibers, and won't miss it since he doesn't shoot it often. He knows I am borrowing it to be understood. I will update once I start using the combo and maybe a comparison review if I purchase another type.

I like my Shield a lot. But for running or biking, I really prefer something with a bit shorter a grip like the G43 or Kahr PM9. If you're in my area, you know where I live, I'll be happy to loan you each to try them out. A father in law loan is pretty hard to beat, though.

Thanks for the offer, but ended up picking up the G43 today after a couple of LGS visits. I agree it best fits what I was looking for. I think the video that sealed the deal is the M&P shield vs G43. The fact of adding a Taran tactical +1 and it being still shorter than the shield had me sold.

After picking up the G43 I gave her a quick clean & lube , and headed out to shoot. I put a box of federal 115gr range/practice through her as well as 20 rnds of 124gr Federal Hst with no issues.

After a few shots I was able to get a feel for her and get better shot placement. All shots taken at about 7 yards, including the 6 at the upper right little silhouette.

Now for the extras.

Of course the OEM sights have to go. Next after seeing the video I ordered a Taran tactical +1 and +2 extension to get capacity a little better. Also on order is a Talon grip to help secure her when She gets sweaty. Once everything gets here I will give her a workout test(unloaded) with my eliptical and try drawing and acquiring target when out of breath and sweaty. I will repeat this test at the farm I shoot at with a 400 yard run to target and then firing a few drills.

I will update after some testing and my first run with her.
