RomeoZero Pro

Looks like another option for a native mount onto our P320's that are already milled for the Romeo1 Pro and DPP. Seems to be relatively thin, so might be able to use existing standard front sight for cowitness, and it also has an integrated rear sight for use when the rear iron sight is removed with the cover plate.

The regular RomeoZero doesn't seem to get good reviews, compared to the Holosun 507/407k series. Thoughts?

From the product video it sounds like the battery placement is still underneath the optic. I wish that were not the case. Glad to hear they went with real glass lens.

Ah - didn't notice that but yes, full removal for battery replacement would be a negative in my view as well. Maybe that's one way that they could keep it relatively thin.

I wouldn't consider it because of the battery location- that's a deal breaker for me. I'm very happy with the Romeo One Pro and I like the Romeo One Pro's metal shroud
I used one when I was at a special event Sig held. I like the Circle dot. I used it on a P322.

As for the battery location it’s not a big deal. There are well machined alignment pins that will keep zero where it was when it came off.

Great, now I'm finally able to fit one of the least reliable optics out there on all of my larger size handguns as well ;)

Sort of kidding. I like my Romeo zero, but in my opinion, it's just a fun range toy-not something I can rely on enough to actually carry. I've had the dot disappear a couple of times at the range due to recoil knocking the battery connection loose a bit. I mean if they are going to have the battery on the bottom, at least have some way to keep it in place besides a 3M piece of "sticky tape"

Might have been a better idea if they decided to release the Romeo1 pro in a micro size instead.

So I posted a question on the Sig website and they answered it within 5 minutes....yes, the stock OEM sights can be used through the optic but obviously it will not co-witness.

Personally I am a fan of Holosun and am waiting for the SCS or the EPS with a green multi-reticle...that being said, you can expect either to go for $400. And you would need a filler plate.

The Romeo Zero Pro with circle dot reticle will be $250 on opticsplanet before any discount coupons you can scrounge up. (First time subscribers get 10% off their next order so looking at an out the door price of $225.)

For the price, it seems like this would be a good offering to kill time or if you are not super serious about red dots.

FYI, Trijicon HDs are slightly taller than the x-ray sights so they would give you a better view through the optic as well.

Its funny you mentioned the dot disappearing as I have had that happen to me on one of the Romeo 5X sights before and guess what? It was the battery compartment lol.

Just watched an interesting review of a Romeo Zero. Its called "Sig Romeo Zero Is Terrible! My Thoughts" by Copper Jacket TV. Worth watching as most of the features and setup is the same.

For what it's worth the new site is more like the Romeo Zero Elite then the Romeo Zero. That video is based on the original Romeo Zero. , The Elite and PRo uses glass instead of plastic. You can tap the unit to adjust the brightness instead of trying to hit the small buttons.

I haven't seen any reviews on the Romeo Zero Elite, Its relatively new as well. I'm hoping they are both a big improvement over the original. But I will definitely be waiting for some reviews before considering purchasing.

It is much improved over the original zero. I think the reticle choices on the zero pro is a big plus. Having the circle on halosun makes close quarter aim easier.

Besides the battery location, it resolved all the short comings of the original.

For the price, it’s well worth the look and will sell well. However, there are deals on the 1 pro now, making the real world price difference between the two between 75-100. If budget is tight, the zero pro is a great option. I am guessing the one pro will hold up better over time. I wonder if the 1 pro will get an improvement with the circle reticle some day
