Romeo 1 Pro on Grey Ghost Precision slide

921 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Shooter90
Hey guys, I got a Grey Ghost Precision slide (P320) and I have a Romeo 1 Pro that I’m trying to put on. The directions clearly state to use the supplied screws but even the shortest ones provided, seem like they’re too long. I can get the non extractor side in far enough but the extractor side I can’t get it in finger tight and I can see the extractor spring in the hole so don’t want to over tighten. I emailed Grey Ghost but it’s a Saturday and I want to get this thing put together. Does anyone have this set up and have advice? Thanks

So on GGP website under product description it says in red about Romeo 1 pro (if slide was made after January 1st 2021) now not sure if that's ur issues but hope this helps.

I had the same issue on putting a ROMEO 1 Pro on my M17 I went to Lowes and got screws and used a deremel to shorten them down. If your screws are right thread you can probably do the same.

I contacted grey ghost to see what they’d say and turns out there were supposed to be more screws included. So we’ll see if what they send works out, otherwise I’ll just get some shorter ones at the hardware store.

Have a similar issue, searched first before posting and ran across this thread.

Anyone know what size screws fit the smaller holes at the back of the optics cut? I believe the front ones are M4 but have no idea what the back ones are. Tried everything I could find.

I'm putting a Romeo0 Pro on my GGP slide and the mounting holes line up with the smaller holes at the rear. E-mailed GGP and ask what size the holes were because the screws shipped with the slide only fit the larger holes in front. All I got was the answer back that Romeo0 doesn't fit their slides. Only the ROmeo1 Pro.

Probably got a little short with my response back informing them that yes, the Romeo0 Pro will fit as it has the same foot print as the Romeo1 Pro, but come on. What happened to customer service. No response back from them and they won't answer subsequent emails. They don't list a phone number for customer service on their website. However I found a number in the manual that came with the slide so I'll try calling Monday. Just thought maybe someone mounting a Romeo1 Pro had the same issue and was able to find out what size the mounting screws are.

According to the instruction that I got they are 4-40 3/8" for my version of the GGP V1 slide.
